17th Annual Graduate Student Symposium, 2026

The 17th Annual MIPSE Graduate Student Symposium will take place on December 2, 2026, at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. All students involved in plasma research are invited to present the results of their investigations, learn about the research of their fellow students, and network with MIPSE faculty and staff.

The Symposium will feature a special MIPSE seminar by Dr. David Ampleford from Sandia National Laboratories.

We encourage all MIPSE students, and in particular, students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Plasma Science and Engineering, to participate in the Symposium. New graduate students are welcome to present their prior research. Undergraduate students are also welcome to participate. All student presentations will be considered for the Best Presentation Award.

Abstract Submission Deadline: October 12, 2026

  • Please use this Word template to create your abstract. The length of abstracts should be limited to one page.
  • Name the file "LastName_FirstName.docx". Please DO NOT convert it to PDF!
  • Open the submission form (you will be required to sign into Google).
  • Fill out the form and attach your abstract.
